Telling Stories
Co-produced with UK based producer Redzi Bernard, Telling Stories is an award-winning podcast and school for sharing ideas around storytelling.
Telling Stories features in the Bello Collective’s Top 100 Outstanding Podcasts and is an International Women’s Podcast Finalist for the most inspiring show.
“What makes a good story?”, “What challenges and excites us most about stories?”, “How can we be better at this fragile and robust art form?”
Each week we’ll speak with a well-known storyteller to receive their gold insights, technical fears and learnings.
And like all good schools, at the end of each episode our producer will leave us with some homework, a unique storytelling challenge, which we invite you to join us on as well, so that we can learn, practise and share together.
We know that everyone has the potential to become a better storyteller; especially if we can share feedback, knowledge and ideas. Telling Stories is a space where you can practise and submit work, learn from experienced storytellers, and find links to other inspiring stories recommended each week by our guests. The more we connect, the more we can learn and the bigger our community becomes.
CONTENT WARNING: this is not only a platform for storytelling but also a deep-dive into what it is to be human. So far our conversations have grappled with questions of identity, love, pain, vulnerability and fear as the continual search for belonging and acceptance shapes and scaffolds the stories we live and breathe.
Sarah spoke to us about inviting magic into our work and the power of cross-fades.
